SEP 10 – Departure from Orlando.
SEP 11 - We arrive in DUBAI for immediate connection to Amman. Arrival in Amman and transfer to our hotel in Petra. Following dinner we will have a brief orientation meeting.
SEP 12 - PETRA - DEAD SEA
Breakfast and departure for a city tour in Petra - Chiseled from sheer cliffs of rose-red stone and named one of the New7Wonders of the World, Petra’s existence seems impossible. After lunch we have free time to enjoy the world-famous healing waters and mud of the Dead Sea, lowest point on Earth that has the highest concentration of minerals on the planet, forcing people to float. We end our day lodging by the Dead Sea, where we have dinner and rest.
SEP 13 - DEAD SEA - QUMRAN - JERICHO - TIBERIAS
Breakfast and departure to Allenby Bridge - border crossing with Israel. In Israel, we drive down to Qumran overlooking the Dead Sea, where we visit the archaeological ruins of the dwellings of the Essenes, where John the Baptist lived and where the Dead Sea Scrolls, oldest known copies of biblical texts, were found. Afterwards departure towards the oasis of Jericho, in the middle of the Judean Desert, lowest and oldest continuously inhabited town on Earth, first place to be captured by the Israelites led by Joshua when they entered the Promised Land. There, we see Zacchaeus’ sycamore fig, where he climbed to see Jesus pass through the city, the ruins of the wall that collapsed during the Battle of Jericho, and the Mount of Temptation, to where Jesus was tempted byte devil. We go all the way to Tiberias, by the Sea of Galilee, where we lodge for dinner and rest.
SEP 14 - GALILEE
Breakfast and departure for the day to visit some of the most important sites in Galilee that refer to the life and ministry of Jesus. We begin at the Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus delivered his most famous sermon. Then we go on to visit the archaeological ruins of Capernaum, where Jesus cured Simon Peter’s mother-in-law, and Tabgha, site of the feeding of the 5,000. We also sail on a boat on the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus performed the miracle of the draught of fishes and walked on water. We end our day by the margins of the Jordan River, where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist and we will have time for baptism at Yadernit, and afterwards we drive back to the hotel for dinner and rest.
SEP 15 - PRECIPICE HILL - MOUNT CARMEL - CAESARIA - JAFFA - JERUSALEM
Breakfast and departure towards the Precipice Hill in Nazareth, where Jesus spent his childhood and youth and where we have a beautiful panoramic view of the city and the entire Valley of Armageddon, which is where the Book of Revelations says the Final Battle will take place. From there, we crossed the valley toward Mount Carmel, where the prophet Elijah could invoke the presence of God and win the contest with the prophets of Baal. We continue the trip to the ruins of Caesarea, where Paul was imprisoned and the Roman centurion Cornelius was converted. Onward journey toward Joppa, where Jonah was swallowed by a great fish and and where we see the house of Simon, the Tanner. Then continuation to the holy city of Jerusalem, the eternal and undivided capital of the Jews. Arrival at the hotel, dinner and rest.
SEP 16 - MOUNT OF OLIVES - MOUNT ZION – WAILING WALL - BETHLEHEM - JERUSALEM
Breakfast and departure early toward the top of the Mount of Olives, from where we have a more traditional view of the old city of Jerusalem and the terrace of the temple. Descent on foot toward Gethsemane and the Garden of Olives, where Jesus wept and was arrested by the Romans. There also visit the beautiful Church of Nations. Further towards the top of Mount Zion, where we visited the tomb of King David, the Cenacle, site of the Last Supper of Christ with his disciples and Pentecost and the Dormition Abbey, built on the site where the Virgin expired. Continuation towards the Western Wall, the last remnant of what was once the Temple of Jerusalem in the time of Christ. Later onward journey toward Bethlehem, currently within the territory of the Palestinian Authority, where we had lunch and visited the Church of the Nativity, the oldest Christian church in the world, which was built over the grotto where the Virgin gave birth to Christ. Then go to the Shepherds' Field, where the angel of the Lord announced to the shepherds the Savior's birth. Then we visit the local shops to know the famous crafts typical of the region olive and jewelry in 14 karat gold that there are sold without tax. Return to hotel, dinner and rest. In the evening, possibility of optional walk tour of Jerusalem.
SEP 17 – JERUSALEM
Breakfast and departure early toward the Bethesda pool, where Jesus healed the bedridden man. Near there, at the time of Jesus, was the Antonia Fortress, where he was imprisoned and where the Via Dolorosa begins. We follow it towards the Damascus Gate and over to the Garden Tomb, where Jesus was crucified and buried, and where he resurrected. Time for reflection, celebration of Holy Communion and delivery pilgrimage to the Holy Land certificates signed by Tourism Minister of Israel and the mayor of Jerusalem
SEP 18 - JERUSALEM - ALLENBY - AMMAN
Breakfast and exit to visit the Holocaust Museum. Then departure towards the border with Jordan. Crossing and continued toward the Wadi Mussa, behind the Edom Mountains, reproducing part of the way of the Israelites during the Exodus. Continuation to the Amman Airport to departure to Dubai.
SEP 19 - DUBAI
Arrival in Dubai and time for City Tour. At night, back to the airport where we board towards Orlando.
